LIFEgroups are offered for adults each Sunday morning at 9 or 10:30, running at the same time as our worship service. No need to register, just come!

Thursday Bible Study

Who leads the Bible Study?
Pastor John Lurtz leads this group, studying the Bible, learning more about the character of God.

Where does the Bible Study Meet?
They meet in the LIFEKids room at First Medina, every Thursday at 10 AM. Please check in at the Medina Christian Academy desk at the front lobby while school is in session (late August – late May).

Who is the study meant for?
Anyone who wants to meet with others for fellowship and to dig deeper into the Bible.

Home LIFEgroups

What is a Home LIFEgroup?

A Home LIFEgroup is 6-12 adults (individuals or couples) gathering in the home of the LIFEgroup leader or a home of one of the LIFEgroup members for the purpose of building relationships, studying God’s Word together, helping one another, corporate prayer and being on mission with God as a group.

How can I jump into a Home LIFEgroup?

How do I become a LIFEgroup Leader?

A LIFEgroup Leader must be a member of First Baptist Medina who is actively following Jesus and seeking the Lord. If you are interested in leading a LIFEgroup, please contact, Lee Anne Dyer at LeeAnne.Dyer@firstmedina.org.

Support Groups

Life can be hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. We all experience seasons of challenge, relational upsets, or sorrow. Whatever the circumstances, First Medina offers help to get you through difficult seasons, or if you just want to grow. Our Support Groups are safe, friendly, caring groups of people who have gone through some of life’s most difficult experiences and need others who have experienced those same difficulties to walk alongside them. No matter where you are at on your journey, you are welcome here with others who want to help.

Men's Ministry

There are a number of definitions of what being a man is according to the world’s standards. The Biblical call of a real man is to reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously, and invest in eternity. Check out what is taking place for in our Men’s Ministry here.

Women's Ministry

LIVING ON PURPOSE FOR THE GLORY OF GOD is what women’s ministry is all about here at First Baptist Medina. We want to create meaningful relationships with women inside and outside of our church. We affirm and strengthen women’s awareness of their value and worth to and for Christ. We grow in our faith with the Word of God, with love, with laughter and with learning through Bible studies, special events, casual get-togethers, community service, conference opportunities, and more.
