What We Believe

We are an independent Baptist church. This means our local church body, through our elected Board of Deacons, makes all decisions locally, based always on our belief that the Bible is God's inerrant Word.

We believe that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, which we understand to mean the whole Bible. (Mark 12:36, 2 Timothy 3:16 & 17, 2 Peter 1:2)

Audio Message: Why We Believe the Bible

We believe in one God, the Creator of everything, who exists in Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19 & 20, John 1:1-4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Hebrews 1:13)

We believe that man was originally created in the image of God but fell through his disobedience to God. Because of Adam's sin, each of us is born naturally sinful, deserving of death and in need of God's forgiveness and salvation. (Genesis 2:17, Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:10-19, Romans 5:12-14, Ephesians 2:13)

Audio Message: What the Bible Says About Salvation

We believe that God loved the world so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a sinless life and become the perfect, sacrificial Lamb whose death on the Cross would pay the price for the sins of mankind. (John 1:29, Romans 3:25 & 26, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 10:5-14)

We believe that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead on the third day through the power of God (John 20:20, 1 Corinthians 15:3-7 & 20, Philippians 3:20) and that forty days after His Resurrection He ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father, working as the intercessor and advocate for all believers. (Ephesians 1:22 & 23, Hebrews 7:25, 1 John 2:1)

We believe that all people must be born again, or saved, by placing their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and His saving work on the cross. (John 1:12, Acts 16:31, Philippians 3:4-9, Titus 3:5) This faith alone, by God's grace, is what saves us and gives us the promise of eternal life with God in Heaven.

What Does All This Mean?

God made you. God loves you. God wants to have a relationship with you. He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross so that your sins can be forgiven.

If you admit that you have sinned, and if you believe that Jesus died for you, God will forgive all your sin and welcome you into His family.

"To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12
